The entire system is very compact and therefore ideally suited to working in areas with limited access, such as gardens, under roads, buildings, railways etc.

 ^{- Winch chain installed into old pipe and connected to Expandit Head.
 - Head expanded and contracted hydraulically to break and displace old pipe.
 - Tension applied by hydraulic winch - head moves forward.
 - New pipe attached to rear of head and jacked into annulus created by head.
 - Above sequence is repeated until full length is in place, then connected}
